We have compared the Pukanala to a variety of other similar priced instruments and feel that the Pukanala ukuleles are far superior on all counts including tuning, quality of workmanship and materials, technical set up and playability, intonation and tuning and overall appearance. The Pukanala company is based in Taiwan and they also have a second production facility in China which is run under stringent Taiwanese quality control procedures, the result being that when a Pukanala ukulele leaves the factory it will not only sound beautiful but will look good too.
