News and events

tom and will on the move...

We at tom and will like to get out on the road and meet new friends at events across the country. Did you see us at the British Open Brass Band Championships which took place at the Birmingham Symphony Hall on Saturday 13 September 08? The day ran very smoothly as far as we could see, it was great to meet a lot of brass players, make some new friends and see some of our cases in action already. When we left, the concert hall was emptying as the bar filled up so we trust the day ended in suitable fashion!

If you would like to speak to us before an upcoming event, or have any questions regarding our range please click here to email us or use the contact us page for further details.

We will be attending many events over the next year so please visit us again soon for more.

tom and will cello cases taken to the extreme...

In July this year our  cello cases found themselves on top of not one but four mountain tops in aid of the Extreme Cellists Four Peaks Challenge. This involved the three extreme cellists climbing the tallest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike), Wales (Snowdon) and Ireland (Carrauntoohill) in aid of Aspire and Mountain rescue. And not only were they climbing them, but doing do with their cellos and performing on top of each mountain.

We are pleased to say that the cases coped extremely well and the challenge was a resounding success. “We were exceptionally impressed with how well they coped with the weather, altitude and conditions. Given they must have taken the odd knock on the way up, and on one mountain were exposed to consistent rain, we were very pleased to find that the cellos were completely unharmed by any of this. Perhaps most impressive of all is the way the tuning held – on two of the mountains I didn’t have to retune at all, and on the other two it was only a fraction of a semitone on one or two strings. Quite amazing! We’ll certainly be recommending the cases to others.” Jeremy Dawson, Extreme Cellists.
